ASO Safety Solutions – Safety, Sensors and Controls

ASO GmbH - world market leader in the field of tactile sensor technology - was founded in 1984. The company develops, produces and sells safety contact edges, mats and bumpers as well as gate controls, signal transmission systems and safety light curtains. 

In addition to the 180 employees at the headquarters in Lippstadt, Germany (as of January 2020), subsidiaries in the USA and China, sales companies in France and England, as well as a worldwide dealer network ensure an international market presence. ASO products can be found on doors and gates, automated machine systems, autonomous vehicles, in the field of airfield security as well as lifting and conveyor technology. Our products prevent jamming and retraction at crushing and shearing points as well as possible collisions of man and machine.

One of our core competences is the development of individual customer solutions, which are tested and continuously improved in our in-house test center under the most realistic conditions possible. 

Safety determines the daily work routine at ASO, the protection of man and machine is always in the foreground. Since this cannot be guaranteed by the production of safety sensors alone, we are involved in international committees and associations - because we are continuously working to make the world a little safer by participating in standards and regular market exchange. 

A milestone in the recent history of the company is the expansion of the production and storage area in Lippstadt by 4800m² in 2019, providing a total of approx. 10,000m² of space for further growth.
