History & success story

Higher – faster – further

Perimeter Protection has been on a continuous growth course since it began in 2010. While the trade fair started out with 47 exhibitors at that time, it reached a record high in 2025 with 219 exhibitors – 127 of them international. The high proportion of international exhibitors in particular highlights the global importance of integrated perimeter protection in the security sector.

In 2014, NürnbergMesse GmbH took over Perimeter Protection completely into its exhibition portfolio. The enormous growth potential of the security exhibition finally prompted a move from Hall 12 to Halls 1 and 2 in 2023. With this innovation, NürnbergMesse made the exhibitors’ wish for larger areas possible. International exhibitors in particular have driven this development, tripling their exhibition space in 2025, compared to 2020. Together with Enforce Tac, Germany’s leading exhibition for security and defence, and it-sa, Europe’s leading exhibition for cybersecurity, Perimeter Protection strengthens Nuremberg’s position as one of Europe’s most important exhibition hubs for security. With its focus on protecting sites, critical infrastructure and public facilities, the event addresses all relevant dimensions of modern integrated security.

Perimeter Protection made its beginnings in 2010 with 47 exhibitors, 11 of them from abroad, and 1,620 visitors.
In 2025, the trade fair reached a new record in its history with 219 exhibitors, 127 of them international, and 5,066 visitors from 57 countries.
