With the Umbrella Act for Critical Infrastructure Protection (KRITIS), which took effect on March 17, 2026, legislators have introduced uniform cross-sector minimum requirements for the physical protection of critical infrastructure. Operators are required to conduct systematic risk assessments, report incidents, and develop tailored resilience plans. Modern security technologies play a key role in strengthening the resilience of critical assets and facilities.
