Description

Why can commercial vehicles actually be more dangerous than explosives? And who actually decides on the authorisation of specialist planners in terror and hazard prevention?
These and many other questions relating to physical protection measures and expertise will be answered by Christian Schneider in his usual entertaining and informative manner.

About the speaker
Christian Schneider is an access protection expert at the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) specialising in the protection of vulnerable targets and holds a university degree in ‘Terrorism & Counter-Terrorism’.
He was one of the first specialist planners in the EU to be approved by the RSES (Register of Security Engineers and Specialists) and became known worldwide for his innovative access protection concepts, such as for Berlin's Breitscheidplatz, Stuttgart's Eurocup stadium and the protection of Mainz city centre. Schneider is a member of the ISO standards committee and part of the worldwide network of renowned ‘Specialist Security Advisors’.
His VfS reference book ‘Zufahrtsschutz für die Praxis’ (Access Protection in Practice), which he compiled with Prof Gause, is regarded as the German-language standard work on access protection.
