About the speaker

Thomas Freschi, born in Cologne, is a trained industrial clerk. However, he noticed early on that the topic of personnel and organisational security was the focus of his interests. Mr Freschi has now been working in this field for over 22 years. From 2008 to 2021, he was deployed with the military police in Bonn/Siegburg and completed specialised training in air marshal and personal security. After 13 years and four deployments abroad, he left the Bundeswehr at his own request and returned to civilian life. He then moved to the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, where Mr Freschi completed a degree in security management, specialising in corporate security. This brought him full circle and topics such as technical security were added. During his studies, he began working at the Verband für Sicherheitstechnik e. V. and has been working there as a project manager since 2023.
