Perimeter Protection Congress
The New Dimension – The Digital Twin in Perimeter Security
The congress “The New Dimension—The Digital Twin in Perimeter Security,” powered by the Association for Security Technology (Verband für Sicherheitstechnik e.V.), took place at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center from April 22 to 23, 2026.
In a rapidly changing world, there are many factors that significantly influence perimeter security.
Just to name a few examples: the KRITIS implementation law, cloud technologies, BIM (Building Information Modeling), 3D, biometrics, NIS-2 – and more.
All of these developments require extended measures and bring perimeter security into a new dimension. Many of the associated requirements are still open, as the KRITIS implementation law – a fundamental basis – has not yet been adopted.
However, we have started introducing, developing, and, where possible, implementing preparatory measures, so that steps toward fulfilling future legal requirements have already been initiated.
We have presented these to you and discussed them together.
