Halsang Company was founded in 1971 by Thorbjörn Övergard, dealing initially only with the production of woven wire mesh. In 1986 the company was taken over by the son Jan-Olof Övergard who is the president of the company until today. In 1987 Halsang started offering gates. In the years between 1987 and 2010 Halsang mainly focused on the Swedish and Norwegian market. Over those years Halsang develop step by step its product program. In 2011 Halsang took the decision to invest in a new production facility in Poland near Krakow. This opened the possibility to grow its production capacity and possibilities.
