Where security is built: Perimeter Protection’s Connected Event brings professional fencing to life

The Zaunbaumeisterschaft (Fence Construction Championship), presented by Perimeter Protection, is a Connected Event of the Perimeter Protection trade fair and will take place on 19 and 20 June in Winsen/Luhe at Hanseatischer Drahthandel.

The Zaunbaumeisterschaft (Fence Construction Championship) presented by Perimeter Protection is a well-established industry competition, which will be presented by Perimeter Protection for the first time in 2026 and organised as a Connected Event. On 19 and 20 June 2026, professional fence builders, young talent and teams will compete in exciting contests in Winsen (Luhe). The format combines craftsmanship, an event atmosphere and networking, offering a hands-on experience of perimeter protection on a construction site.

Precise movements, high speed and genuine craftsmanship: for years, the Zaunbaumeisterschaft has been synonymous with excellence in professional fence construction. In 2026, this established industry competition will embark on a new chapter. For the first time, the Zaunbaumeisterschaft will be presented by Perimeter Protection and integrated as an official Connected Event into the programme of the international trade fair for perimeter protection.

Under the slogan “On your (fence) posts, get set, go!”, experienced professionals, ambitious young talents and well-coordinated pairs will come together on 19 and 20 June 2026 to compete head-to-head. The task is to erect a fence professionally in the shortest possible time – precisely, safely and cleanly. The work will be judged by an independent panel of experts according to clearly defined criteria such as quality, safety, tidiness and time, making the competition both fair and exciting.

“Over the years, the Zaunbaumeisterschaft has established itself as an authentic and popular event within the industry,” explains Hanna Schneider, a member of the Perimeter Protection organising committee. “The fact that we are presenting the competition for the first time in 2026 and integrating it as a Connected Event is a logical step: in doing so, we are strengthening the link between the trade fair, the trade and the community, and bringing perimeter protection to life where it is created – in practice.”

Three categories, one standard: excellence in craftsmanship

Even in its new format, the Zaunbaumeisterschaft remains true to its roots and deliberately reflects the diversity of the trade. Participants can compete in three categories:

  • Rookies – fence builders with up to one year’s professional experience
  • Pro – experienced professionals from the professional fencing sector
  • Teams – two people, one shared goal, maximum precision

The two-day programme combines sporting competition with a genuine event atmosphere. On Friday, 19 June, the schedule features free practice and qualifying rounds, followed by a big fencing party in the evening. Saturday, 20 June, begins with a morning get-together (Frühschoppen), before the competitions in all categories and the celebratory award ceremonies form the highlight.

A fresh take on a tried-and-tested format

With the inaugural presentation of the Zaunbaumeisterschaft, Perimeter Protection is making a clear statement within its Connected Event concept. The competition complements the trade fair with a practical, live experience and creates additional opportunities for exchange, the promotion of young talent and top-class craftsmanship. At the same time, the character of the format remains unchanged – down-to-earth, performance-oriented and close to the people who implement perimeter protection on a daily basis.
